      GGSF | Global Gender Smart Fund

      GGSF Assessment tool

       

      1) Overview

      The Global Gender Smart Fund (GGSF) aims to strengthen the provision of gender-smart and responsible financial services to underserved women, women-owned or women-led businesses in developing markets, with the aim to improve livelihoods, increase gender balance and outreach, and promote women’s leadership. Click here for more information.
      Equilo partnered together with Innpact, a leading impact finance specialist based in Luxembourg, providing advisory and third-party fund management services.

      2) Tool introduction

      The GGSF Gender Assessment is a tool designed to help entrepreneurs, investors, and finance practitioners evaluate the gender equality and diversity performance of companies. It highlights areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance outcomes for women and girls.

      3) Key features

      1. Adapted Tool:
      - Based on the Sweef Capital Gender ROI™ tool (click to watch the ROI Demo video), adjusted for the needs of micro-finance institutions within the GGSF, and customized under Innpact's business and technical requirements. 
      2. Comprehensive Indicators:
      - Uses 17 quantitative and qualitative indicators across Leadership, Workforce, Value Chains, and Society.
      3. Survey Modules:
      - Includes 15 survey modules that can be completed all at once or over time by multiple people in the organization.
      - The 15 assessment modules align with the 17 indicators, with an additional General Enterprise Intake module.
       
      4. Digital Platform:
      - Facilitates easy data collection and reporting with survey modules.
      - Analyzes data instantly and displays results on a personalized dashboard.
      - Allows sharing of dashboard results and downloadable .CSV files.
      - Provides contextual market-level analysis to understand and address gaps.
      - Aggregates data for investors and financial actors at portfolio levels.
      - Offers automated action plans based on identified gaps.

      4) Assessment Results at the company and portfolio Level

      The closer to 5, the more gender equality is achieved within each parameter or the more a gender lens is applied to financial processes, products, and services. Financial institutions receive a separate score in addition to the gender score to look specifically at financial products, processes, and services.
       
      Once the investee completes all survey modules, their results will be displayed on their own dashboard and also on the investor's dashboard in a spiderweb presentation
       
      Going deeper into the data analysis, the platform offers a results view by Domain and Parameter. By clicking on any parameter title jump to its detailed assessment page, and indicators deep-dive pages
       
       

      5) How to Access the tool?

      - At the moment this tool is only available for GGSF Participants that have been invited directly by Innpact's and GGSF Fund Managers.
      - This tool is customized for GGSF gender assessments and is not for wider distribution.
